Where the week gets stuck

Sound familiar?

The ideas are not the hard part. Choosing the few that pay back and making them real is. This is usually where the week goes:

Month-end is a scramble

Reconciliations and management packs sprawl across spreadsheets and inboxes, every single month.

Tax season swallows juniors

Repetitive prep and workpapers eat the hours your team should spend on judgement.

Chasing records never ends

Clients are slow with paperwork, and someone has to keep asking.

Advisory gets crowded out

Compliance admin keeps partners off the higher-value work clients pay most for.

Standards are always in mind

Every shortcut has to satisfy ICAEW ethics and AML duties, so "just try AI" is never that simple.

What we put to work

The few systems that pay back.

A few working systems that give partners their week back.

Month-end agent

Reconciliations, variance flags and a draft management pack pulled straight from your ledgers.

Records-chasing agent

Polite, automatic follow-ups for missing client paperwork, so nobody has to nag.

Tax-prep assistant

First-pass workpapers and checklists on your own templates, ready for partner review.

Client comms agent

Plain-English summaries of the numbers, drafted from the figures and ready to send.

The Monday Pulse

What you would see every Monday.

A one-page read for the practice: jobs by stage and deadline, WIP and recovery, clients with records still outstanding, and capacity for the week ahead.

Industry trends

MTD for ITSA timelines firming up; advisory demand rising among SME clients. Package it before year-end.

Competitor watch

Local firms are bundling AI bookkeeping into fixed monthly fees. Review your fee model.

Seasonal trends

January self-assessment crunch and the March/April year-end peak. Resource now, not in December.

AI for the tools you already run

Xero AI, QuickBooks AI and AI bookkeeping, set up for your practice.

Xero AI

Bank reconciliation, coding queries and month-end checks run against your Xero ledgers automatically, with a person reviewing anything unusual before it posts.

QuickBooks AI

The same for QuickBooks: transactions matched, anomalies flagged and client questions drafted from the data, so the ledger is ready before you open it.

AI bookkeeping

Receipts, invoices and statements captured and categorised, chasing and reminders sent, and a clean set of books each month with an audit trail of every change.

Sage and IRIS practices get the same treatment. Whichever AI accounting software you run, we wire the AI into it rather than asking you to switch.

FAQ

Good questions.

Does it work with our software?

Yes. We build around Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, IRIS and the tools you already run, rather than replacing them. See our note on first AI workflows for UK accountants.

Will it file or touch HMRC directly?

No. It prepares and drafts; your team reviews and files. It shows its working and the source transactions behind every figure, so a reviewer can trust a number rather than rubber-stamp it. A person stays in control of anything that leaves the building.

Is client data safe?

It is UK-hosted, never used to train public models, with a private Vault option for the most sensitive work.

Where do we start?

A two-week audit gives you five written documents, then a four to six week pilot proves one workflow on real data, quoted upfront.
